FaZe Clan, the international roster of professional gamers, has achieved a historic milestone at ESL’s IEM Sydney event. In an extraordinary fashion, they secured a flawless 13-0 victory against their opponents.
During the quarterfinal match against ENCE, FaZe Clan dominated the map of Anubis, becoming the first team to achieve a 13-0 scoreline in a major tournament. This remarkable feat occurred early in the era of Counter-Strike 2, showcasing the potential for more groundbreaking moments in the game.
Led by Finn “Karrigan” Anderson and his teammates, FaZe Clan has experienced ups and downs since transitioning to Counter-Strike 2, much like other teams. However, they showcased their exceptional skills in the second map of the series. Regardless of it being their chosen map or not, defeating an opponent without conceding a single round is always an impressive accomplishment.
Their performance on Nuke was also commendable, only surrendering the first three rounds before dominating the majority of the remaining rounds throughout the series.
This victory not only etches their name in history but also marks the first time FaZe Clan has triumphed over ENCE in all four encounters since the release of CS:GO in 2012.
With this triumph, Karrigan’s squad advances to the semifinals, where they will face off against mousesports, the champions of ESL Pro League. A win in this match would grant them a spot in the grand final.
