Esmeralda: The Shield Absorber
Esmeralda is a formidable counter to heroes like X.Borg who rely on shields in their skills, such as his Firaga Armor passive. With her unique skill set, Esmeralda can quickly absorb shields, leaving X.Borg vulnerable during the laning phase. To maximize her effectiveness, it is crucial to harass X.Borg early in the game before he reaches level four. In terms of itemization, prioritize building Enchanted Talisman and Dominance Ice to withstand X.Borg’s skills, including his Last Insanity ultimate.
Chou: The Agile Fighter
Chou is a versatile hero who excels at countering many fighter heroes, including X.Borg. However, playing Chou effectively requires experience. During the laning phase, Chou can use his Ultimate skill, Jeet Kune Do, to harass and break X.Borg’s armor passive. Once the armor is down, Chou can deliver the final blow with his second Ultimate skill, Way of Dragon. Chou’s mobility is also advantageous in dodging most of X.Borg’s Firaga Armor skills, especially his Fire Missiles. Prioritize physical damage items like Blade of Heptaseas or Blade of Despair, and consider choosing the High and Dry talent in the assassin emblem tree for extra damage.
Gloo: The Sticky Opponent
Gloo may not be as well-known as other heroes, but he proves to be a challenging opponent for X.Borg. His Slam, Slam skill is a powerful attack that can quickly eliminate heroes without mobility in the early stages of the game. Additionally, Gloo’s Split, Split skill allows him to avoid X.Borg’s Fire Missiles and Last Insanity. When X.Borg’s ultimate expires and his shield is down, Gloo can reattach to him, making it difficult for X.Borg to escape. Prioritize building Sunfire Cape first, followed by Glowing Wand if you are ahead in the laning phase. If you are struggling, consider building Dominance Ice to boost your defense.
