Karrie: The Tank Buster
Karrie is the perfect choice when facing tanky heroes like Gatotkaca. With her high mobility and true damage, she can easily take down her opponents.
When Gatotkaca uses his ultimate, Avatar of the Guardian, on you, quickly use Phantom Step to escape its area of effect. Slow him down with Spinning Lightwheel and activate Speedy Lightwheel to deal true damage with your basic attacks through the Lightwheel Mark passive.
Remember to maintain a safe distance while attacking him and consider using Flicker as your battle spell for extra mobility. Purchase Sea Halberd to weaken his lifesteal after obtaining your core items.
Granger and Claude are also viable alternatives if Karrie is not available.
Diggie: The Crowd Control Remover
Diggie can be a real headache for Gatotkaca due to his ultimate, Time Journey, which instantly removes all crowd control effects (except suppression) and provides a shield to the team.
As soon as you and your allies get hit by Gatotkaca’s Avatar of the Guardian, cast Time Journey to remove the crowd control effects and retreat to safety. Use Reverse Time to control Gatotkaca and follow it up with an Auto Alarm Bomb for additional damage.
To maximize the effectiveness of Time Journey, purchase Fleeting Time, Magic Shoes, and Enchanted Talisman to reduce its cooldown. This will allow you to use it more frequently and keep your team safe from Gatotkaca’s crowd-control abilities.
Ruby: The Tenacious Fighter
Ruby is an excellent choice for those looking to go head-to-head with Gatotkaca. With her crowd-control skills and massive spell vamp, she can hold her own against him.
In a 1v1 situation, use Be Good! to slow Gatotkaca down and Don’t Run, Wolf King! to interrupt his attacks. If he tries to escape, pull him back using I’m offended!
Take advantage of Ruby’s Let’s Dance! passive to dodge Gatotkaca’s attacks. Consider using Execute as your battle spell to finish him off when he’s low on HP.
To counter Gatotkaca’s lifesteal, build Dominance Ice or Sea Halberd. If he opts for a magic build, consider getting Athena’s Shield to mitigate his damage.
