After years of struggling, AP Bren has finally claimed the top spot in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines Season 12 (MPL PH Season 12). They secured a 4-1 victory over Blacklist International in the grand final, marking their second championship win in the league.
AP Bren’s journey to the grand final was impressive, defeating RSG PH and Blacklist International in the upper bracket. Meanwhile, Blacklist International had to fight their way through the lower bracket, eliminating the defending champions, ECHO, to earn a rematch with Bren.
The first two games of the series were dominated by AP Bren, with Owgwen and Super Marco leading the charge. Super Marco achieved a perfect KDA on Brody in the first game, while Owgwen showcased his skills on Mathilda in the second game.
However, Blacklist International turned the tide in the third game, thanks to OHEB’s exceptional performance on Ixia. With the support of Faramis and Mathilda, Blacklist International secured a victory.
AP Bren regained their composure in game four, utilizing burst damage heroes to secure a quick win. In game five, despite Blacklist International gaining an advantage, AP Bren made a game-changing play by wiping out four members of Blacklist in the Lord pit. This led to their victory and the conclusion of the series.
FlapTzy was awarded the grand final MVP for his outstanding performance in the EXP lane.
With this championship win, AP Bren not only secures a spot at the M5 World Championship but also claims the majority of the US$150,000 prize pool.
