After a four-year hiatus, Dota fans in Kuala Lumpur have reason to celebrate as the highly anticipated ESL One KL LAN event is set to take place. This marks the first offline tournament in Malaysia’s capital since the KL Major in 2018. With a massive $1 million prize pool up for grabs, twelve teams will compete for glory.
The event will be held at the MITEC from December 15 to 17, where eight teams will battle it out in front of a live audience. As the Dota Pro Circuit has been abolished, third-party tournaments like ESL One KL have gained even more significance. This event not only offers a substantial prize pool but also plays a crucial role in determining potential participants for The International.
To build excitement, ESL One KL has released a teaser trailer featuring the Oracle theme, hinting at the future of participating teams in TI13. The trailer also showcases animated highlights from past Dota 2 events, including memorable moments like 23savage’s premature celebration against Team Liquid at Riyadh Masters and fy and Sccc’s reactions to defeat at The International.
Tickets for ESL One KL are priced from approximately $32 (149RM) to $106 (499RM) for premium tier access. Sales will begin on September 21 at 3 p.m. GMT +8 | 7 a.m. GMT | 12 a.m. PT. For more information and ticket purchases, visit ESL’s official website.
