Batrider: The Firefly Menace
Batrider is a formidable counter to Axe due to his ability to reposition enemies and himself. With Firefly, Batrider gains increased movement speed and the ability to fly over terrain, making him elusive and difficult for Axe to catch. Sticky Napalm slows Axe down and amplifies the damage he takes from Batrider’s spells. Additionally, Batrider’s Flaming Lasso can disable Axe before he can initiate any spells, putting him at a disadvantage throughout the game.
Timbersaw: The Lumberjack Nightmare
Timbersaw’s pure damage and strength-sapping abilities make him a nightmare for Axe. Whirling Death and Timbersaw’s high mobility with Timber Chain allow him to easily cut down Axe’s tankiness. Axe’s favorite combo of Berserker’s Call and Blademail is ineffective against Timbersaw, who deals primarily magic damage and doesn’t rely on right-click attacks. Timbersaw’s defensive capabilities and offensive power make him a strong pick against Axe.
Leshrac: The Magic Overload
Leshrac’s overwhelming magic damage output bypasses Axe’s defensive abilities. None of Leshrac’s spells trigger Axe’s Counter Helix, making it difficult for Axe to retaliate. Leshrac’s high mana pool allows him to sustain his magic damage output, while his lack of right-click damage makes Berserker’s Call less effective. Leshrac’s mobility and control abilities, such as Eul’s Scepter and Split Earth, further hinder Axe’s initiation. With the Bloodstone build, Leshrac becomes even more resilient, making it challenging for Axe to eliminate him with Culling Blade.
