After a satisfying Dota 2 match, sometimes you just want to revel in the post-game analytics, browse through stats, and give yourself and your teammates a well-deserved pat on the back. Here’s how you can access your post-game analytics, whether it’s within the game or outside of it.
Viewing Post-Game Analytics In-Game
When you click on the match you want to see post-game stats for, you’ll find a range of options in the top left corner.
The scoreboard provides more detailed information about the match, including item builds, kills, deaths, assists, and stats such as net worth, GPM, and XPM.
The graphs tab displays the net worth and experience of the entire team throughout the match, allowing you to track pivotal swings.
The breakdowns tab is exclusively available for Dota Plus users. Here, you can see the damage dealt to each hero, categorized into individual damage sources like spells, auto attacks, and items.
The MVP screen showcases the most valuable player of the match, determined by a post-match algorithm, along with two honorable mentions.
Third-Party Sites
There are three major sites for post-game analytics: Dotabuff, OpenDota, and Stratz.
Dotabuff is the most popular among the three, but some features require a Plus subscription.
OpenDota is an open-source platform with additional features, including a story tab that provides quick summaries of each game and fantasy score breakdowns to help you construct winning rosters.
Stratz offers an innovative IMP score that provides a quick performance indicator, along with unique features like full minimap playback within the client itself, perfect for quickly reviewing games.
All three sites are comprehensive and feature-rich, so you can choose the one that suits your preferences.
If you notice that your personal account information is not updated on these sites, you may need to enable public match data in your Dota 2 client.
Enabling Public Match Data
To allow external sites to access and display your match data, you need to make your account public. This option can be found in the settings under the Social tab. After enabling it, you may need to refresh your preferred stats site for the latest match data to be pulled.
