In the highly anticipated second phase of the Project NEXT update, Moonton Games is introducing a new mechanic for Johnson’s ultimate ability in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This revamp promises to bring a dynamic and exciting gameplay experience for the popular tank hero.
Johnson’s ultimate ability, Rapid Touchdown, allows him to transform into a car and carry an ally with him during the ride. However, in the upcoming update, this ability will be even more versatile. Now, teammates can jump into the car at any time, even while Johnson is moving across the map.
Here’s the new description for Rapid Touchdown:
BEFORE:
Johnson transforms into a car, accelerating over time. An allied hero can board the car during the acceleration phase, however there is a waiting state upon activation of the Ultimate (prior to accelerating).
AFTER:
Johnson immediately gains acceleration upon activation of his Ultimate. An allied hero can now board the car at any time during the ride.
When Johnson gets within 20 yards of his teammates, they will receive a notification indicating his proximity. When he is within 6 yards, a button will appear for teammates to tap and enter the car.
Some tips for using the new Johnson ultimate:
– If you want to request a ride from Johnson, there will be an option to notify him with the message: “Calling Johnson for a ride.”
– If the enemy team has a Johnson, you will receive a notification warning you that: “Johnson is approaching, watch out.”
This skill rework is expected to open up exciting new possibilities for combos with different heroes, enhancing Johnson’s gameplay in Mobile Legends.
In addition to the Johnson revamp, Moonton Games will also introduce a new Mobile Legends logo for the game’s seventh anniversary. They have revamped Lolita’s abilities and made graphic and skill upgrades to three other Eruditio heroes: Layla, X.Borg, and Bruno. They have also made improvements to one non-Eruditio hero, Miya.
Furthermore, the MLBB user interface will undergo a comprehensive overhaul to provide a more immersive gaming experience. The new main screen UI will allow players to interact with a seasonal hero of their choice, starting with the aforementioned heroes from Eruditio for the upcoming season. New seasonal heroes will be introduced in future patches.
Players can also expect smoother gameplay with reduced packaged resources, enhanced multi-threading, and improved technical performance.
