Worlds 2023 Schedule, Standings, and Results

Mark your calendars! Worlds 2023 is set to take place from October 10 to November 19. Here’s a breakdown of the schedule:

Play-In Stage

– October 10 to October 15

Swiss Stage

– October 19 to 23
– October 26 to 29

Knockout Stage

– Quarterfinals: November 2 to 5
– Semifinals: November 11 to 12
– Grand Final: November 19

Format of Worlds 2023

Worlds 2023 introduces a revamped format that consists of three phases: the Play-In Stage, the Swiss Stage, and the Knockout Stage.

Play-In Stage

– 8 teams compete in double-elimination brackets
– Top team from each bracket advances to the Swiss Stage

Swiss Stage

– 16 teams (including Play-In winners) divided into draw pools
– Teams play best-of-one matches based on seeding
– No teams from the same region face each other in the first round
– Teams with even records face each other in subsequent rounds
– 8 teams advance to the Knockout Stage

Knockout Stage

– Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals are single-elimination matches
– All matches are best-of-five
