This year’s M5 World Championship, the biggest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament, will be held in the Philippines for the first time. What is the M5 World Championship?
The M5 World Championship is the fifth edition of the most prestigious Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament in the world. Sixteen teams from various regions will compete for a prize pool of US$900,000 and the title of the best MLBB team globally. This year’s championship will also feature a Wild Card event, held in Malaysia one month before the group stage, where two teams will have a final chance to secure their spot in the main tournament.
M5 World Championship Format
The 16 qualified teams will be divided into four groups during the group stage. They will participate in a single-round robin format, playing best-of-three matches. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Knockout stage, while the bottom teams will be eliminated. In the Knockout stage, the top eight teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, with all matches being best-of-five, except for the grand final, which will be a best-of-seven.
M5 World Championship Schedule
The group stage will take place from December 2 to 7, 2023. After a one-day break, the Knockout Stage will be held from December 9 to 16. The grand final is scheduled for December 17.
