Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has received a game-changing update, with the powerful assault rifle, Holger 556, being targeted for a nerf. This update brings significant adjustments to the game, including buffs, gameplay changes, bug fixes, and more.
The Holger 556, known for its dominance as an assault rifle, has been hit with multiple nerfs in the November 21 update. These nerfs include reducing its headshot damage multiplier, increasing the sprint to fire time, and decreasing damage multipliers for the neck, upper-torso, arm, and hand.
Here are the specific changes made to the Holger 556 in the 11/21 MW3 patch:
– Decreased headshot damage multiplier from 1.4x to 1.3x.
– Decreased neck, upper-torso, arm, and hand damage multipliers from 1.1x to 1x.
– Increased sprint to fire time from 210ms to 231ms (+10%).
While the Holger nerf has garnered much attention, Sledgehammer Games emphasized the adjustments made to the FR 5.56 and DG-58 as the highlight of the weapon balance changes. These weapons now require two headshots to kill an enemy with a single 3-round burst fire, aiming to improve the consistency and viability of Submachine Guns.
In addition to weapon changes, the update also includes adjustments to movement, progression, the Zombies mode, and more. For a comprehensive list of all the changes in this update, you can refer to the full patch notes.
