Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo, the renowned EXP laner for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and RSG PH, has a unique and distinctive hobby outside of the game – collecting spiders. In an exclusive interview during the MPLI 2023, Nathzz shared his fascination with these eight-legged creatures and how his teammates reacted when he brought them to their gaming house.
Nathzz’s childhood fascination with spiders resurfaced when his teammate, Aqua, proposed the idea during a boot camp. Intrigued, they began searching online for places to purchase spiders. Nathzz joined spider-related groups and eventually bought 150 small spiders. However, he wasn’t satisfied and decided to invest in more expensive spiders priced at PHP150 each, spending a total of around PHP5,000.
His favorite species are small orb weavers, and while his teammates enjoyed their company, their coach, Panda, and manager Lexie weren’t as thrilled. Nathzz admitted to enjoying scaring his coach with the spiders.
Unfortunately, before MPLI 2023, Nathzz had to make the difficult decision to release all of his spiders into the wild. He explained that no one would be able to care for them while they were away for a week.
Although he doesn’t plan to resume collecting spiders, Nathzz expressed a sentimental attachment to these creatures, stating that they will always hold a special place in his heart.
