New Champion Crowned in Singapore Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Season 6

Samuel Crossley

Team Flash emerged as the victors in the grand final of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Singapore Season 6 (MPL SG Season 6), defeating defending champion RSG SG with a score of 4-3. This marks Team Flash’s first championship win in the region since joining the league in Season 2, and they will be taking home the majority of the S$100,000 prize pool.

RSG SG had a smooth journey in the upper bracket, securing their place in the grand final by defeating HomeBois SG and Team Flash. On the other hand, Team Flash had to overcome EVIL in the lower bracket final to earn a rematch with the defending champions after losing to them in the upper bracket final.

RSG SG showcased strong performances in the first two games, with standout plays from Brayden “BRAYYY” Teo on Alpha and I “Lucianqt” Pranipata on Mathilda. However, in the third game, a game-changing Lord steal by Jay “Jayy” Chng on Faramis turned the tide in favor of Team Flash, granting them their first win of the series.

Although RSG SG dominated the fourth game, Team Flash managed to steal a victory in the fifth game when Jaymark “Hadess” Lazaro successfully split pushed on Helcurt while the rest of the team focused on Lord. This unexpected move allowed Team Flash to turn the tables and force a decider.

The sixth game was another intense battle, with Team Flash barely holding onto their base. In a remarkable 1v4 fight, Adam “Adammir” Chong on Fredrinn defended the base and turned the game around, leading to a dramatic victory for Team Flash.

With a 10,000 gold lead and a 6-1 kill score, Team Flash capitalized on their momentum in the seventh game and clinched the series in just 14 minutes.

For his outstanding performance and incredible split push play in game five, Hadess from the Philippines was named the Playoffs MVP.

As the new champions, Team Flash has also secured a spot in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational 2023 (MPLI 2023) in Indonesia next month, as well as the M5 World Championship in the Philippines in December.
