Nouns, the North American Dota 2 organization, has announced their new roster for the upcoming 2024 season. After disbanding their previous lineup following a 7th-8th place finish at The International 2023, the team has made some changes to their roster.
Retaining midlaner Nicolas “Gunnar” Lopez and position 4 support Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos, Nouns has also added former Shopify Rebellion and Evil Geniuses team captain Tal “Fly” Aizik to their lineup. The team is still finalizing their roster, but they have confirmed that former Entity midlaner Daniel “Stormstormer” Schoetzau and Nigma Galaxy carry player Yuma “Yuma” Langlet will be joining them for ESL Kuala Lumpur.
Nouns surprised many during Valve’s final DPC season, starting their successful run by qualifying for the Bali Major. Their performance in Indonesia led them to secure a spot in the TI12 Regional Qualifier, where they emerged victorious against all North American teams to qualify for The International 2023.
At TI12, Nouns caused an upset by defeating Tundra Esports, one of the tournament favorites, and making it to the upper bracket. However, they were ultimately eliminated by Azure Ray and Gaimin Gladiators, finishing in the top eight, the highest placement for any North American organization.
With the addition of Tal “Fly” Aizik, Nouns aims to rebuild their roster and compete against the top teams in North America. Fly will make his debut with the team at ESL Kuala Lumpur’s North America closed qualifier on November 16.
