Nova Esports Players Excited to Face MPL PH Teams at MPLI 2023

Nova Esports, the Chinese team making their debut on the international stage at MPLI 2023, is eager to prove themselves against seasoned teams from various MPL regions. In an exclusive interview with ONE Esports, the players expressed their excitement about facing teams from MPL PH.

When asked about the team they are most looking forward to playing against, Nova Esports’ Jungler Hong “September” Yan and goldlaner JunLi “Guoguo” Zeng both agreed that they are particularly excited to face ECHO from the Philippines. The reason? “Because they are former world champions,” they said.

ZiHao “Sadboy” Chen, the team’s EXP laner, is thrilled about the matchup against another Filipino former world champion, Blacklist International. He often watches their games and learns from them, so playing against them will be interesting for him.

ZiRi “Ziri” Chen, Nova Esports’ midlaner, has his eyes set on a head-to-head with the M2 World Champions AP Bren because he believes they are the strongest team in the Philippines.

Ri “Mei” Zhou, the roamer of the team, has a broader perspective. He is eager to play against all the previous champions of the M World Series because he wants to experience their power firsthand.

YuanBo “Vikor” Xu, the team’s multirole player, mentioned a team outside of the MPL PH. He hopes to face TheOhioBrothers from North America and test himself against their jungler, bestplayer1, whom he considers to have the most difficult gameplay to deal with.
