OG has made a significant change in their offlane position for the upcoming ESL DreamLeague S21. Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin will be moving to the inactive roster, while Nigma Galaxy’s Ivan “MinD_ContRoL” Ivanov will be standing in for the tournament. This decision comes after OG’s failure to qualify for The International 2023, despite some last-minute roster changes.
MinD_ContRoL, who previously played as a substitute for OG during the Berlin Major, will now join the team once again. This loan move marks another player from Nigma Galaxy making a temporary switch this season. Notably, Maroun “GH” Merhej played for Team Liquid, Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf stood in for Quest Esports, Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi played for Shopify Rebellion, and Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan has been part of Team Aster and Team Secret.
With both OG and Nigma not participating in The International, any further roster moves between the two organizations will likely be postponed until after the tournament. Additionally, with the abolition of the DPC, the rules regarding roster changes may undergo significant changes in the future.
Despite the setbacks, fans can look forward to seeing MinD_ContRoL team up with OG legend Sébastien “Ceb” Debs in DreamLeague, which kicks off on September 18th. It will undoubtedly be an exciting opportunity to witness their collaboration once again.
