Kim “Clid” Tae-min, a professional League of Legends player in the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), has been suspended from all official LoL Esports leagues for 12 months due to his involvement in sexual misconduct.
The suspension applies to local and international tournaments, including the LCK Spring and Summer seasons, as well as the LCK Challengers League (LCKCL).
Clid, a substitute player for Hanwha Life Esports, was found guilty of sexually inappropriate actions following a thorough investigation by the LCK committee. The investigation involved reviewing online posts and player statements.
The allegations against Clid surfaced in June when a woman publicly accused him of sexual harassment on X (formerly Twitter). She provided screenshots of their conversation on a messaging platform as evidence. Another victim also came forward, claiming that Clid was aware she was a minor when he allegedly began sexually harassing her.
Neither Clid nor his team, Hanwha Life Esports, have released any official statements regarding his suspension.
As a result of the ban, Clid will be unable to participate in the regular season, as well as miss out on opportunities to compete in other regions and international events such as the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) and World Championship (Worlds).
Clid started his professional League of Legends career in China with Newbee Young in 2016 before moving to the LCK in 2018, where he played for renowned teams like T1 and Gen.G.
