Cambodia’s very own See You Soon will once again showcase their skills on the international stage as they qualify for the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational 2023 (MPLI 2023). The team emerged victorious in a thrilling grand final against CFU Gaming in MPL Cambodia Autumn 2023, securing their spot in both MPLI 2023 and the M5 World Championship. See You Soon aims to continue Cambodia’s impressive progress in the MLBB scene, following their notable performances in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games and MLBB Southeast Asia Cup 2023.
Strength of See You Soon at MPLI 2023
See You Soon is no stranger to major international tournaments, having previously competed in MPLI 2021, M2 World Championship, and MSC 2022. The team comprises a mix of experienced Cambodian players and talented Filipino imports. Seasoned roamer Sok “Boxi” Viera, EXP laner Leng “Felix” Kimhak, and mid laner Sovann “RAA” Chanmakara have been integral members of the team for a considerable period. BOXI and FELIX notably led SYS to victory in MPL Cambodia Season 1 two years ago. Joining them are gold laner Clarense Jay “Kousei” Camilo and jungler Michael “MP the King” Endino from the Philippines.
The Filipino duo made an immediate impact in the latest MPL Cambodia season, with Kousei being named game MVP four times and MP the King twice during the team’s playoff run. See You Soon demonstrated remarkable resilience throughout MPL KH Autumn, finishing third in the regular season and triumphing over PRO Esports in a do-or-die series. They then defeated powerhouses BURN x FLASH and CFU Gaming in the upper bracket. Although SYS faced defeat in game six of the finals rematch against CFU, they bounced back strongly in game seven to secure the championship title.
