Sentinels Re-Signs TenZ, Future Role Unclear

superadmin

Sentinels, the North American esports organization, has officially announced the re-signing of their Valorant superstar, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo. The announcement came through a skit posted on Sentinels’ social media, where content creator Tarik “Tarik” Celik appeared on a modified version of the reality TV show Shark Tank, seeking an investment for Sentinels.

The video confirmed that TenZ will be staying with Sentinels, but it did not provide clarity on whether he will continue competing on their Valorant roster or transition into a full-time content creation role. TenZ’s contract was set to expire this year, according to the VCT global contract database.

In the Shark Tank parody video, Tarik initially faced challenges convincing the show’s investors to support Sentinels, playfully acknowledging the organization’s recent financial difficulties. However, the investors quickly changed their tune when TenZ made an appearance, announcing that he was “staying for good.”

While the video did not explicitly state TenZ’s future role, there are indications that he might return to the Valorant roster. TenZ reposted the Shark Tank skit on his social media, captioning it with “Run it back on Yoru.” Yoru is a character in Valorant, and TenZ is known for his exceptional gameplay with this duelist.

It is worth noting that several former professional players have transitioned into content creation and joined Sentinels, including Tarik and Apex Legends sensation Brandon “aceu” Winn. However, TenZ’s affinity for playing Yoru suggests that he may continue competing in the VCT Americas League.

Overall, Sentinels’ re-signing of TenZ is a significant move for the organization, securing one of the most prominent players in the Valorant scene. While his future role remains uncertain, fans can expect more exciting gameplay from TenZ, whether it be on the competitive stage or through content creation.
