Shopify Rebellion, the Dota 2 team, has announced significant changes to its roster. Three players, Abed “Abed” Yusop, Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen, and Tal “Fly” Aizik, are no longer part of the team. This marks the end of an era for the long-standing North American squad.
Cr1t-, who had been with the team for seven years, expressed gratitude for his time with his teammates and wished them the best. He also revealed that he has already joined a new team with ambitious goals and aims to reclaim his position as the best player next year.
The current Shopify Rebellion roster now consists of Artour “Arteezy” Babaev, Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek, and coach Kanishka “BuLba” Sosale.
Player | Joined Roster |

Tal “Fly” Aizik | 2018 (except for a brief season with Talon Esports) |
Shopify Rebellion entered the Dota 2 scene last year by taking over the former Evil Geniuses roster, which had been together for over five years. The team dominated the North American scene and achieved impressive results in international competitions, including a fourth-place finish at the Lima Major in March.
Despite their past disappointments at The International, there was hope that the team was finding their stride heading into TI12. However, they had a poor performance in the group stage and were eliminated by Team Spirit in the lower bracket playoffs. They ultimately finished joint-13th in the tournament.
Shopify Rebellion’s roster changes mark the end of an era for the team, leaving Arteezy and BuLba as the remaining core players. Fans will be eager to see how the revamped roster performs in future competitions.
