Ruby: The Nightmare for Gusion Mains
Ruby is a formidable counter to Gusion due to her ability to disrupt his combos with her second skill, Don’t run, Wolf King!. With a short cooldown of seven seconds, it becomes nearly impossible for Gusion to burst her down in team fights. Ruby’s passive allows her to dash after every skill, making it difficult for Gusion to hit her with Sword Spike. To mitigate Gusion’s damage, it is recommended to build Athena’s Shield, Oracle, and Immortality.
Hayabusa: The Quicker Assassin
Hayabusa is an excellent counter to Gusion because of his speed and mobility. His second skill, Ninjutsu: Quad Shadow, allows him to blink multiple times around a large area, making it challenging for Gusion to hit Sword Spike. If Gusion does manage to hit the skill, Hayabusa can activate Ougi: Shadow Kill to become invulnerable and deal damage simultaneously. It is advisable to practice Hayabusa in classic mode to familiarize yourself with Ninjutsu: Quad Shadow before countering Gusion effectively.
Minsitthar: The Blink Disabler
Minsitthar is a perfect counter to heroes with blinks and dashes like Gusion. His ultimate, King’s Calling, creates a large area that disables directional blink skills. This ability prevents Gusion from using Sword Spike or his ultimate, Incandescence, rendering him useless in team fights unless he moves away from the area of effect. To protect your teammates, stick close to the marksman or mage and use King’s Calling to disrupt Gusion’s combo. Follow up with Shield Assault to stun him in place, allowing your teammates to secure the kill.
