Freya: The Unyielding Warrior
Freya is the ultimate fighter hero who can outlast Martis in a 1v1 battle. With her powerful ultimate, Valkyrie Descent, she excels in prolonged fights. Additionally, Freya has great survivability when equipped with defensive items. To counter Martis, prioritize Blade of Despair for damage and Oracle for cooldown reduction and shield boost. Consider using Execute as your battle spell to gain an advantage in the laning phase, or Vengeance if the game is expected to last longer.
Phoveus: The Mobile Hero Slayer
Phoveus is a formidable opponent for Martis due to his ultimate, Demonic Force, which allows him to teleport and deal damage to enemies who use dash and blink skills. His skills also have reduced cooldowns when activated near directional skills. This poses a challenge for Martis, as his Mortal Coil and Decimation both involve dashes. Phoveus is difficult to kill thanks to his Malefic Terror, which deals damage and grants him a shield. Choose Flameshot as your battle spell to push away enemy heroes in melee range, activating Demonic Force in team fights.
Zhask: The Mage of Nightmares
Zhask is the only mage hero who can stand up against Martis in a 1v1 encounter. His Nightmaric Spawn ability allows him to enter an enhanced form and avoid death when his health reaches a critical level. This enhanced spawn is incredibly challenging to defeat, forcing Martis to retreat and wait for the skill to end. Even if Martis manages to eliminate the enhanced Nightmaric Spawn, he will still have to face Zhask once again. To dominate Martis in the laning phase, prioritize building Clock of Destiny and Lightning Truncheon. If Martis opts for defensive items, consider Divine Glaive for magic penetration.
