The Perfect Playground: Best Maps for Iso
Looking to add a new duelist to your agent pool? Valorant’s 24th agent, Iso, is a frag-hungry duelist ready to take on all challengers. To fully utilize his abilities, it’s important to know the best maps where he can shine. Here are the top five maps for Iso:
1. Haven
Iso’s linear agent abilities make him a great choice for taking space on attack in Haven. His Contingency smoke wall can provide cover for his team on all three sites. Use it to block gunfire while moving into the A site from A long, or for a mid to B window push and C long push. For a solid A site execute, move from A lobby to A sewers, use the Contingency smoke to block the enemy team’s vision from A link, and cast Undercut to weaken defenders in the A site.
2. Bind
Similar to Haven, Iso’s Contingency ability is perfect for taking control of pivotal parts of Bind. Use the impenetrable wall smoke to take control of A short, A bath, and B long, bringing your team closer to the site. To dominate hookah, use Skye’s Trailblazer or Sova’s Owl Drone to spot enemies, then throw Undercut to eliminate anyone holding hookah.
3. Sunset
Sunset’s narrow walkways and tight corners make it an ideal playground for Iso. With mid as the focal point, play around Iso and set him up for kills. Partnering with Breach can be effective, as his Faultline and Flashpoint can stun and flash enemies. Activate Iso’s Double Tap ability before going for a kill, and take advantage of the shield it provides when shooting the energy orb above an eliminated enemy agent.
4. Split
Split is another great map for Iso due to the early peek potential. Activate Double Tap and secure an opening kill within the first 10 seconds of the round to gain an advantage. Use Undercut to debuff enemies through walls, similar to Omen’s Paranoia flash. This ability covers a lot of ground on Split and can help your team quickly gain control.
5. Icebox
Icebox, with its snowy tundra, is perfect for Operator users who like to hold high ground. Iso’s ultimate, Kill Contract, can pull enemy Operators out of position. Use it to disrupt an enemy Jett perched up A generator or on top of B yellow. Activate Kill Contract from a platform across A pipes or make your way to B green or B cubby if the enemy Oper is too far. Utilize the Contingency wall to get close and activate the ultimate.
