Activision has announced that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 will have over 30 new maps, including both new and classic favorites. The game will launch with a variety of new maps, and more than a dozen additional maps will be released post-launch. In addition, 16 classic Modern Warfare 2 maps have been overhauled and will be included in Modern Warfare 3. Fans can expect the post-launch maps to be released in new seasons, following a similar model to Modern Warfare 2.

The game also includes three new Battle Maps for Ground War and a War Mode map. The Ground War maps are Levin Resort, Orlov Military Base, and Popov Power. The War Mode map is Spearhead.
