Valve has introduced a precise display of your skill in Counter-Strike 2 through the CS Rating leaderboard. This leaderboard will provide regional and World Leaderboards, allowing you to see exactly where you stand among other players. You can filter the leaderboards by season, region, or even view your friends’ rankings. It will also show your total wins and the percentage you fall into worldwide.
To obtain a CS2 Rating, you need to win at least 10 CS2 Premier matches. Initially, you won’t have a rank or rating, but once you complete these placement matches, your CS Rating will be determined based on your performance, wins, losses, and the rating of your opponents. If you defeat players with a higher rating, you’ll start with a higher CS Rating.
After winning your 10 matches, you’ll receive your first CS Rating. From there, the system will match you with players of similar skill levels. Wins will earn you points, losses will deduct points from your rating, and ties may result in gaining or losing points depending on the system’s evaluation. Don’t worry too much about ties, as you may still gain rating if you’re the underdog team.
As you progress through the ranks, you’ll also move into different color thresholds, symbolizing new tiers within the CS2 ranking system. The tiers are as follows:
