They have won the M World Series twice, the MSC twice, and the Southeast Asian Games MLBB tournament three times. However, there is one tournament that has eluded them so far – the MPL Invitational by ONE Esports. PH teams in MPLI 2023: Champions all around
The Philippines is the only MPL region in MPLI 2023 to have teams that have achieved international success across the board. Three out of the four Filipino teams participating in Jakarta have won the M World Series title.
AP. Bren:
AP. Bren has had an outstanding year, winning gold in the Southeast Asian Games and IESF 2023 WEC. They also reclaimed the MPL PH trophy after six seasons, showcasing their deep hero pool and strong early game setups. As heavy favorites in MPLI 2023, AP. Bren has the momentum to become the first Filipino team to win the MPL Invitational.
Blacklist International:
Despite the absence of key players OhMyV33NUS and Wise, Blacklist International proved doubters wrong by finishing the regular season strongly and securing a spot in the grand finals and M5. Their simulated macro playstyle and meta-shifting drafts make them one of the best teams in the world.
ECHO:
As the defending world champions, ECHO showcased their skills in the MPL PH Season 12 regular season, finishing as the number one seed. Although they fell to Blacklist International in the lower bracket final, they remain confident and determined to prove themselves in MPLI 2023.
RSG Philippines:
RSG Philippines, the winners of MPL PH Season 9, have consistently been a top four team. They demonstrated their discipline and toughness in the MPL PH Season 12 playoffs, showing that they can compete with the best. With their experienced players leading the way, RSG PH aims to regain their winning form in MPLI 2023.
