The developers of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 have introduced an exciting new feature called the Aftermarket Parts system. This system allows players to completely transform their guns and experience a whole new way of playing.
With the Aftermarket Parts, guns can be remixed and given a unique twist. It’s a way for players to revisit weapons they may have already mastered and discover a whole new dimension of gameplay that regular attachments can’t provide.
According to Nick Carraro, a systems designer at Sledgehammer Games, the Conversion Kits offered in the Aftermarket Parts system can turn a gun’s identity on its head. These kits offer powerful and meaningful changes to the weapons, almost making them feel like entirely new guns.
To unlock the Conversion Kits, players need to complete in-game challenges that become available once a weapon reaches its maximum level. These challenges serve as the final reward for finishing a weapon’s progression path. For example, to unlock the Bullpup Conversion Kit for the Pulemyot LMG, players need to get 25 kills while hip firing or using Tac-Stance.
Once a Conversion Kit is unlocked, it greatly enhances the weapon’s mobility, handling, rate of fire, and recoil. But the customization doesn’t stop there. Players can continue to add more Aftermarket Parts to further alter and improve their weapons.
The introduction of the Aftermarket Parts system promises to bring a unique and game-changing element to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Players will have the opportunity to experiment with different weapon configurations and discover new strategies. It remains to be seen just how powerful these kits are, but anticipation is high for this exciting addition to the game.
