Oliver “skiter” Lepko and Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu have decided to leave Tundra Esports in search of new opportunities, the organization announced. Both players expressed gratitude for their time with the team and the accomplishments they achieved together.
Skiter expressed his appreciation for Tundra Esports, stating that he couldn’t have asked for a better organization and team. He emphasized that he wouldn’t change anything about his experience.
Sneyking reflected on his wonderful two and a half years with Tundra, acknowledging the team’s achievements during his tenure.
Following these departures, Tundra Esports’ Dota 2 roster is now left with only two players: Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen and Neta “33” Shapira. Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling will continue to serve as the team’s coach.
This recent development means that 33 is the sole remaining player from Tundra’s TI11-winning roster, as Leon “Nine” Kirilin has decided to take an extended break. The team’s newest addition, Topson, remains on the roster alongside coach Aui_2000, who joined in November 2021.
Tundra entered TI12 as defending champions and had an impressive 8-0 win-loss record in the group stage. However, they faced an upset in their seeding match against nouns, forcing them to start the playoffs in the lower bracket. After another loss to Entity, Tundra’s journey in the tournament came to an end in the bottom half of the standings.
