T1 Confirms Re-Signed Roster for 2024 Season

superadmin

After months of speculation, T1 has officially confirmed their roster for the 2024 League of Legends season. This announcement comes after their victory at the 2023 World Championship, where they emerged as the champions.

Facing off against Weibo Gaming in the final, T1 dominated with a 3-0 sweep, solidifying their position as the last standing LCK team in the competition. This same roster had previously reached the Worlds 2022 final but narrowly lost to DRX with a score of 3-2.

Looking ahead to the 2024 season, T1 is determined to make another run for the championship. The team’s star player, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, has already re-signed a three-year contract that will keep him with the organization until November 2025. Meanwhile, jungler Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun’s contract will expire in 2024.

Speculation arose when three members of T1’s championship-winning roster became free agents after Worlds 2023. However, all doubts were put to rest when T1 announced that bot laner Gumayusi, support Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, and top laner Choi “Zeus” Woo-je have all re-signed with the organization.

This marks a significant milestone for T1 as it is the first time in the organization’s history that a championship-winning roster has returned to compete for another year in full. Even after their victories at Worlds 2013, 2015, and 2016, none of those rosters came back for another season.

In another historic move, T1 has also announced the return of their previous championship-winning head coach, Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun. He will lead the Worlds 2023 champions for the upcoming season, bringing his expertise and experience to the team. kkOma was also the head coach of South Korea’s gold medal-winning team at the Asian Games.

Here is the confirmed T1 roster for the LCK 2024 season:

– Choi “Zeus” Woo-je: Top lane
– Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun: Jungle
– Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok: Mid lane
– Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong: Bot lane
– Ryu “Keria” Min-seok: Support
– Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun: Head coach
– Im “Tom” Jae-hyeon: Coach
– Lee “Oliver” Nam-hoon: Manager
– Moon Kyung-nam: Manager
