Keria and his team, T1, are preparing for a crucial match against JD Gaming (JDG) on November 12th in Busan, South Korea. The winner of this best-of-five series will secure a spot in the Worlds 2023 finals, where NewJeans is set to perform in the opening ceremony.
In an interview with Sports Seoul, Keria expressed his determination to defeat JDG and fulfill his dream of seeing NewJeans at the finals.
As a member of the Bunnies fandom dedicated to NewJeans, Keria spends his spare time listening to their music and practicing their dance routines. He even showcased his dancing skills alongside his bot lane partner, Gumayusi, during T1’s LCK stage appearance earlier this year.
During T1CON 2022, Keria delighted the audience with a brief dance performance of NewJeans’ song “Hype Boy.”
JD Gaming’s bot laner, Ruler, also shares Keria’s excitement about NewJeans’ upcoming live performance at the finals. Another dedicated fan of the group is TheShy, the top laner for Weibo Gaming, who particularly admires member Hanni.
NewJeans made their debut in 2022 with their first song “Attention” and followed it up with the release of their second single, “Hype Boy.” Comprised of five talented members – Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein – the group has gained a global following.
Fans can catch NewJeans’ live performance during the Worlds 2023 opening ceremony on November 19th. Their collaborative track with Riot Games, “Gods,” will be available to watch on Riot Games’ YouTube and Twitch channels.
