Team Falcons, representing the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, is all set to make their international debut at the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational 2023 (MPLI 2023). As the runner-ups of MPL MENA Fall 2023, they have stepped up to the challenge after the withdrawal of the reigning champion, Triple Esports. Despite being a new organization in the professional Mobile Legends scene, Team Falcons has recruited experienced veterans, including their coach, who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
Here’s a preview of what to expect from Team Falcons at MPLI 2023:
– Star jungler Mahmoud “Lio” Elsayed and EXP laner Abdulaziz “Hulk” Sulaimani, both respected veterans in the region, will be leading the team’s campaign in the tournament. They previously showcased their skills in the M4 World Championship, where they made it to the playoffs. Lio, nominated for the 10 Greatest Players award, also led Occupy Thrones to victory in MPL MENA Spring 2023, earning them a spot in MLBB Southeast Asia Cup 2023.
– Adding to the team’s diversity is Filipino gold laner Patrick “Lawtrick” Ciego, formerly a substitute for TODAK, who won the MPL Malaysia Season 11 title. Lawtrick played a crucial role in Team Falcons’ journey to the MPL MENA Fall 2023 grand final, earning the game MVP title three times during the playoffs.
– Guiding the team is Filipino coach Gian Carl “Behave” Lamintao, a seasoned strategist who previously worked with TODAK. With Behave’s expertise, Team Falcons is ready to showcase their incredible team-fighting prowess, which enabled them to sweep both Okami Esports and Triple Esports in the upper bracket of MPL MENA Fall 2023.
