Xavier, also known as the Defier of Light, is a powerful poke mage in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. With his global ultimate skill called Dawning Light, he can deal massive damage from afar. In this beginner’s guide, we will explore Xavier’s skills and how to effectively play him.
Xavier’s Skills
Passive – Transcendence
Xavier’s passive skill, Transcendence, enhances his subsequent skills each time they hit an enemy hero. As he progresses through different stages, his skills become more powerful. In Stage III, he enters his Transcendence state, where all his skills have reduced cooldowns and increased width.
Skill 1 – Infinite Extension
Xavier fires a Mystic Bullet that deals magic damage to enemies it passes through. The Bullet’s distance increases with each hit, allowing it to hit multiple heroes without damage penalty. It can also pass through obstacles and deal damage to enemies outside of Xavier’s field of vision. This skill can stun multiple enemies when hitting a Mystic Field.
Skill 2 – Mystic Field
Xavier conjures a Mystic Barrier that lasts for a few seconds. Enemies that touch the Barrier take magic damage and are slowed, while allies gain extra movement speed. When hit by Xavier’s other skills, the Barrier expands into a forbidden field, dealing damage and immobilizing enemies within. This skill is useful for crowd control and can affect multiple enemies and allies.
Ultimate – Dawning Light
Xavier unleashes a beam of Mystic magic that deals magic damage to all enemies in a line on the map. Using Dawning Light immediately triggers Stage III of Transcendence. This skill can stun enemies caught in Xavier’s Mystic Field.
How to Play Xavier Effectively
To maximize Xavier’s potential, it is recommended to use the Flicker battle spell for added mobility. This allows Xavier to engage or retreat from fights more effectively. Another option is the Sprint spell, which provides maneuverability with a lower cooldown.
For emblems, the assassin emblem is recommended for increased kill potential. Choose Inspire as the tier one talent for extra cooldown reduction. In tier two, select Wilderness Blessing for additional movement speed in the jungle and river areas. Finally, Impure Rage is the main talent, providing extra damage and mana restoration effects.
The best build for Xavier focuses on mana regeneration and magic damage. Demon Shoes are recommended if building Clock of Destiny, otherwise, Arcane Boots and Enchanted Talisman are preferred. Other essential items include Holy Crystal, Lightning Truncheon, and Genius Wand.
When using Xavier’s skills, a standard combo is to use Mystic Field, followed by Infinite Extension, Dawning Light, and another Infinite Extension for maximum damage. It is important to hit all skills inside the Mystic Field for additional damage. For a more advanced combo, use Infinite Extension first and cast Mystic Field midway to surprise enemies. If ahead, a quick Mystic Field, Infinite Extension, and Dawning Light can eliminate marksmen or midlane heroes.
By mastering Xavier’s skills and utilizing his long-range abilities, players can dominate the battlefield and secure victory in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
