Combat System in Zenless Zone Zero

Prepare for dynamic and cinematic combat in Zenless Zone Zero. As you face off against mysterious creatures called “Ethereal,” you’ll have the ability to switch between different characters, unleashing a combination of skills and quick time event (QTE) combos. The game also features a roguelike gameplay mechanism, adding an extra layer of excitement to the battles.

During Gamescom 2023, fans were treated to an exciting six-minute trailer showcasing the overworld and gameplay of Zenless Zone Zero. The trailer follows Belle, one of the main characters, as she accepts a commission from an NPC and explores the Hollow Deep Dive System with her team. The video highlights the intense battles against formidable Ethereal creatures, demonstrating the game’s combat mechanics.

The combat system allows players to accumulate points through chain attacks, assists, counterattacks, and well-timed dodges. Combo attacks can be performed, triggering a character switch mode for a brief period to execute powerful combos. Characters in Zenless Zone Zero also possess ultimate abilities that can be activated once the ultimate bar is full.
