Paper Rex, the Singapore-based esports organization, has announced that Patiphan “Cgrs” Posri, also known as Kla, will not be renewing his contract with the team. In a press release on September 11, PRX revealed that Cgrs is looking to explore new endeavors after the VCT 2023 season. While his next move remains unknown, PRX has not yet disclosed who will replace him as the team’s substitute player for the VCT 2024 season.
Cgrs joined PRX during the VCT 2022 off-season and quickly became an integral part of the team as their substitute player. He made his debut at the Riot ONE Invitational Yokohama, showcasing his skills and proving his value to the roster.
Throughout PRX’s VCT 2023 season, Cgrs played a crucial role in supporting the team’s success as their substitute player. When PRX’s duelist and initiator main, Ilya “something” Petrov, was unable to attend Masters Tokyo due to visa issues, Cgrs stepped up to the challenge. Despite limited practice, he helped PRX secure a commendable 3rd-place finish in Japan. His exceptional performances, particularly his innovative use of the initiator agent Gekko, earned him admiration from the Valorant community.
Harley ‘dsn’ Örwall, Chief Gaming Officer at PRX, expressed his appreciation for Cgrs’ contributions: “Kla played an indispensable role in our remarkable year in VCT. His standout moment was at VCT Masters Tokyo, where he fearlessly embraced the challenge of stepping in on short notice. His exceptional performance there surprised the VALORANT community and left us immensely proud. More than a teammate, he was a reliable friend and brother who always had everyone’s back. Thank you for everything, Kla. Your legacy remains with us.”
Cgrs expressed his gratitude for the support he received during his time with Paper Rex and expressed hope for future encounters: “For everyone sending their love and support to me during my time with PRX, thank you so much. I’m grateful for your support, and I hope the next journey will meet everyone again. Thank you.”
